Elijah

Watch the flame dance for hours in this 2kg outdoor candle. Elijah is made up of a hand carved suar wood pot crafted in indonesia, and filled with soy wax that has been hand poured in Australia. He will awaken your senses with top notes of eucalyptus and lemon, middle notes of citronella and rosemary, and base notes of cedarwood and patchouli. 

He has the strength to repel mosquitos, and the will to hang around once he has burnt out. The lightly stained suar wood pot can be repurposed in many ways around your home. Elijah is a hand made design that sees the perfect harmony of natural beauty and practicality. 

To help Elijah perform at his best, please trim his wicks to 5mm before first burn, and ensure all wicks are lit. The first burn should be for 2-3 hours to allow the full surface to turn to liquid. This will prevent a well forming around the wicks and allow for even burning.

 
Please trim the wick (ideal legnth is 3-5mm) prior to each time you light Elijah to prevent losing the wick in the wax, or causing any unwanted smoke. Once you have put Elijah out, ensure the wick is centered in the candle to allow for consistent wax consumption. 

Elijah shouldnt be hanging out within reach of any pets or small children. 4 hours is the maximum time Elijah can be lit, and in that time he can't be left unattended. His ideal spot to burn is on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Please keep away from precious surfaces, or any direct draughts. Keep him in place until all wax has rehardened, and he can then be moved if needed. 

We recommend applying a light layer of bees wax for natural protection to the outer of the Elijah pot. This will leave a light sheen as well as a protective seal.
